Another good day at the farm with plenty of activity in spite of the sometimes gusty crosswind.
If you don't like WWII aircraft you probably won't appreciate many of the photos, but Paul & I finally achieved our plan of flying our two Black Horse Spitfires together, as well as giving "Glamorous Glenn" a good workout so I took plenty of photos!
More on that later, but to give you an idea of who was there & what they flew I'll go to the archives:
James had the Edge 540 & the Old Girl.
Fingers had some successful flights with his pusher prop Falcon & his SBach 342 flew well too.
Michael had his freshly repaired Katana flying well.
Prez Anthony had some fun with the MXS-R. (Didn't I used to have one of them)??
New Anthony is pretty much solo with his Boomerang & looking at bigger & better things!
Curtis flew his electric Extra as well as his chopper. Graeme came out for a visit & reported on his progress with the Comet & Spitfire.
We had a couple of visitors & Barry from Townsville may be a new member before too long as he is looking to make the permanent move north to Cairns. Like Prez Anthony he is building a 55cc T-28 Trojan so we may have a double act on our hands!
Now onto the Spitfires that flew perfectly, & we even managed some coordinated low passses that looked pretty good!
The P-51 Mustang "Glamorous Glenn" also finally performed as we knew she could & she looked good!
In case you couldn't tell what we were drinking to celebrate!
Don't forget it's the AGM next week so try to get along even if you're not flying.
See you then.
Cheers,
Rob
